Looking for an energy efficient electric water heating system for your home or workplace that’s easy to install and comes with the latest technology? There’s never been a better time than now to check out the CFEWH Series Single Phase water heater from MicroHeat, which boasts a range of innovative features including full digital controls and ‘set and forget’ temperature regulation.
Choosing the right Single Phase hot water unit can be daunting, but MicroHeat is here to guide you through the process. With expertise in the field, we can advise you on the best system for your specific needs. Our knowledgeable team will consider factors like capacity, energy efficiency, thermostat settings and installation requirements to ensure we recommend the most suitable hot water unit.
Our Single Phase instantaneous water heater systems range from 4.8 kW up to 9.6kW and only deliver power to heat up the water when the user wants it. The single unit CFEWH can be used for a range of applications, including:
Our systems have been installed in homes, apartment complexes, offices, shopping centres, aged care facilities, hospitals, shops and other public or privately owned residences and buildings. MicroHeat’s Single Phase instantaneous hot water unit can be set by the consumer/installer to deliver warm to hot water anywhere from 20°C to 60°C.
Note: The Single Phase instant hot water units are factory settable up to 50°C (there is no need for a thermo-mixing or tempering valve to eliminate scolding). For specific applications where hotter water is required, the temperature can be settable up to 60°C. Please contact us to discuss further.
Important: “Electric instantaneous water heaters may draw high levels of power, but only for relatively very short periods of time when compared to electric storage tank water heaters that draw relatively low power for longer periods of time. The wiring rules accommodate this difference by applying a calculation where the power demand requirement can be reduced by as much as 66%.”
Refer: AS/NZS 3000:2018 Electrical installation (Wiring Rules), Appendix C, Circuit Arrangements.
A tandem Single Phase electric instantaneous water heater is designed to provide double the flow rate by simply combining two Single Phase units to operate in tandem and deliver a flow rate the equivalent of a Three Phase water heating system. These can be combined to deliver power to the water from 12 kW up to 19.2 kW on Single Phase power.
The Tandem CFEWH hot water unit can be used for a range of applications in addition to the single installed unit, including:

The incoming water temperature of our Single Phase instantaneous hot water systems will vary during summer and winter. The following tables show the hot water flow rates at various inbound water temperatures for each of the Single Phase hot water unit models available.
*In accordance with AS 3500 Section 1.9.2 and Section 1.9.3. No tempering or thermostatic mixing valves are required for personal hygiene sanitary fixtures other than stipulated in Section 1.9.2 (a).
